Mary
Jane ‘MJ’ (Fauque) Belgarde, 71, passed away Thursday night, April 2,
2009, in Scottsdale, Arizona due to complications from leukemia. Vigil
services will be Tuesday April 7th at 7:30 pm at St. Margaret’s
Parish in Cut Bank. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday April 8th at
10:30 am with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Luncheon will
follow at the church. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

MJ was the daughter of Gene and Nellie (Eby) Fauque born January 28, 1938 in Shelby, Mt. She was raised at the Texaco Camp outside of Cut Bank, attended the Winkler school and graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1956. She married a few years later and over the next 12 years she lived in Montana, Idaho and Washington. After divorcing in 1971, she returned to Cut Bank to raise her 3 children. MJ was employed by Glacier County Treasurer’s office for over 30 years. In October, 1986 she married Ermine Belgarde and, upon their retirement, they enjoyed traveling around the west visiting family and friends in their ol’ fifth wheeler. MJ enjoyed Blue Grass Festivals in Arizona during her winter travels, where she met a lot of good friends over the years. MJ also enjoyed collecting frogs, playing cards, and attending Griz games. Mary Jane Belgarde, ‘MJ’, was a loving wife, sister, mother, frog collector extraordinaire, and friend to all.
MJ was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Nellie Fauque, and one sister, Darlene Fauque. Survivors include her husband Ermine Belgarde of Cut Bank; her children and step-children, Kirt (Allison) Bjoin of Temecula, CA, Kamie (Hossein) Zarkarhidi of Paradise Valley, AZ, Kerri (Joel) Marking of Roundup, Katie (Robert) Bremmner of Browning, Eric Belgarde of Browning, Ermine Belgarde of West Glacier, Glynis (George) Flammond of Havre; and her brother Gary (MaryAnn) Fauque of Cut Bank. Her grandkids are Noah, Maxx, Travis, Hannah, Reed, Gilbert, Brittany, Sharon, Zach, Gus, Gaby, Tyrel, Sierra, Dane and Morgan.
MJ was a long time member of St. Margaret’s Parish in Cut
Bank.
