Survivors include his daughters, Marjorie (Suzie) Omsberg of Conrad and Sheila (Herb) Fitzgerald of Cut Bank; sons, Arnie (Christine) Omsberg of Rapid City, Michigan, William (Karen) Omsberg of Phoenix, AZ, Bob (Dee) Omsberg of Cut Bank and Mike (Stacy) Omsberg of St. Helens, OR; sister, Edith (Jim) Gorman of Cut Bank; brothers, Herb Omsberg, Kenny Omsberg and Clifford Omsberg all of Cut Bank, 40 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; siblings, Richard, Dale, Walter & John Omsberg, Bernice McGlothlin and May Luchi; grandchildren, Herb Aurther Fitzgerald, Chanelle Larson & Myles Omsberg. He was born Oct. 5, 1931 on the family farm north of Cut Bank to Christian & Caroline (Olson) Omsberg where he grew up and was educated. He then joined the US Army at the age of 16 and served in the Korean War. Arnold said that he learned more at the age of 17 by being in the Army, than he could have in any school, by crossing the Pacific Ocean four times before the age of 19. He returned to Cut Bank where he started his career in the oil fields and was best known for his tank building. He also was a production supervisor for various oil companies up until his retirement. He married Margaret Wert in 1954. He was a member of the VFW, Elk’s Lodge, Royal Order of the Moose, Eagles, Cut Bank Golf Club and BJ’s Social Group.
